According to US Weekly, the 90’s sitcom, “Roseanne”, could be making a major comeback. Sources claim that an eight-episode mini-series is currently being shopped around to various streaming services. Roseanne Barr and her TV family are game for a reunion as long as they have “a good story to tell.” Incidentally, this is perfect timing for the cast, seeing as “Roseanne’s” 20-year anniversary is approaching in May.
During it’s nine-season tenure on ABC, “Roseanne” won four Emmy’s and three Golden Globes. With that being said, there’s little doubt that a revival wouldn’t be received well by loyal fans worldwide.
“Roseanne fans are the best in the world who have pushed for this for years. If it does happen, it is a credit to their passion and dedication,” Michael Fishman, who played DJ, told US Weekly.

We’ve seen a lot of crazy mugshots, but this one might top them all. The frightening face you see depicted belongs to 24-year-old Morgan Joyce Varn who was arrested on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery and property damage in Lancaster County, S.C, according to NY Daily News reports.
In case you’re having a hard time seeing — Varn’s whites of her eyes are completely black and she’s got tattoos all over her head and neck.
Varn was arrested following a SWAT incident near Indian Land, S.C. She was found armed in her home last Monday, after robbing a man who claims to know her, taking his money and cellphone after inviting him inside. 23-year-old Jonathan Mikael Robinson was also taken into custody and a stolen pistol was recovered from the scene.
Robinson was charged with kidnapping, armed robbery and weapons charges. Varn remained in the Lancaster County jail Friday without bond.
There’s more fallout coming from the disastrous Fyre Festival and Ja Rule’s at the center of it.
As previously reported Ja and his fellow organizers behind the Fyre Fest were EVISCERATED over their “luxury private island escape” that turned out to be a tent-filled, cheese sandwich serving DISASTER.
Now according to Page Six, there’s a possibility that Rule and co-Fyre Fest organizer Billy McFarland KNEW that things would go south and warned A-Listers not to attend. Furthermore they both allegedly “took off” when things went left.
“They called all the A-list names and the modeling agencies and told them not to come,” says a source to PageSix. “They were just like, ‘Oh, come next weekend when all the kinks have been worked out.’ This was before the chaos even started.”
[…]While guests are still trapped at the event — which has been described online as “the Hunger Games but with less luxury” — and are desperately trying to get back home, “Everybody who was organizing the festival took off,” says the source. “They abandoned it. They put up a sh—y stage, took millions of dollars, and then left everybody stranded. It was like a scene out of that movie ‘Exodus.’ There were people with bags, not knowing what to do. I feared for people’s safety, it got so bad.”
Messy, messy, messy. Ja Rule previously apologized for the chaos but has remained mum on the fest ever since. As for Billy McFarland, PageSix says he reportedly partied carefree on a yacht Thursday while other people suffered.

After holding on to her 17-year marriage, Rasheeda might be seriously considering a divorce. The “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star recently appeared on “The Real” to discuss her marriage and admitted that while she still loves Kirk, she has to “draw the line.”
“It’s difficult. Things happen and you’re not like ‘okay, I’m done with you; It’s over!’ We have a lot of history, we have children, we have businesses – I grew up with this man. Unfortunate things happen in a relationship and marriage is work; It’s a lot of work. The ups, the downs, the goods, the bad, it’s a lot of work.
But at the end of the day, you’ve put me in this situation… and as much as I want to strangle you and choke yo a**…. I love you, though. It doesn’t just turn off like that. But you have put me in a place where I have to draw the line.”
She also confessed that they’re currently separated and living apart and had THIS to say about the possibility of Kirk really being Jasmine Blue’s baby daddy.
“Well, I damn sure ain’t paying no woman… Or having no parts of no damn child support – you better believe that.”
We can’t blame Rasheeda for being totally against paying child support for the baby. Just the other day Jasmine said that Kirk wanted her to keep the child after she told him she was pregnant.

Yikes… this is super jacked up. A woman with 18 years experience as a journalist and news anchor is out of a job after using the n-word during an online exchange on social media.
Veteran 11Alive reporter Valerie Hoff recently resigned according to Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports, two weeks after calling herself a news ni**a in a DM to a black man on Twitter that he posted online.
The incident occurred April 13, when @curtfromdablock (Curtis Rivers) posted footage of a white police officer punching a black driver on his Twitter account. Rivers posted on twitter than a number of “news ni**as” were trying to track him down for the video. Hoff reached out to Rivers via DM attempting to get permission to use his footage for a breaking news story but it all went left when Huff used Rivers’ terminology and he noted that she was white and wasn’t sure if she was calling him the n-word.
“I was quoting something the gentleman said in a public tweet back to him in a private message but that doesn’t make it any less offensive,” Hoff wrote the AJC in an exclusive message. “It was incredibly stupid and reckless. I was in the middle of a pressure-filled day trying to chase down the video of a man being beaten and kicked by two Gwinnett police officers, which this particular gentleman had posted on twitter. I repeatedly apologized and continue to do so. I also offered to resign immediately.”
Her boss John Deushane offered this message: “11Alive does not tolerate any form of racial insensitivity and aggressively enforces our standard policies. We acted promptly to address this situation. Valerie Hoff has chosen to resign and apologizes for her actions.11Alive is committed to treating the communities we serve with dignity and respect.”
“I look forward to being a stay-at-home mom,” Hoff added, “and working on my Food and Travel Blog, ValerieHoff.com this summer.”
SMH. White folks when will you learn? Never ever, ever, ever, ever say ni**a, ni**er or anything close to it! Hoff worked at 11Alive since 1999 and had worked for CNN for eight years prior to that. She was an Emmy-winning reporter.
And now she’s a stay-at-home mom. Sheesh.

A Texas man has been apprehended after slashing multiple people on The University Of Texas campus, killing one.
According to Austin Statesman Reports, University police say they have a suspect in custody and that the public is not in any immediate threat. Four victims are confirmed, none have been named yet. Police are asking students to stay away from the area of the campus while they investigate.
Around 1:46 p.m. emergency officials first responded to the stabbing near Gregory Gym at 2101 Speedway. One twitter user caught a video of the unnamed man responsible for the attacks.
Witness say he was carrying around a huge knife. Details still developing.

Clap it up for Congresswoman Maxine Waters. The 78-year-old politician continues to speak out publicly against Donald Trump and a new Washington Post article hones in on her newfound status amongst millenials who are just as determined to see him impeached.
The outlet details a recent open mic appearance Waters made at Busboys & Poets in D.C. where she spoke fervently against Trump:
“Donald Trump is someone that found his way to the presidency of the United States of America — I still don’t know how,” she said, drawing boos at the mention of the president’s name. “But he’s someone that I’m committed to getting impeached!”
“He’s a liar! He’s a cheat! He’s a con man!” she said, each declaration punctuated by cheers. “We’ve got to stop his a$$!”
“I’ve been criticized because people said, ‘Oh, you shouldn’t use the impeachment word.’ But I have a deep and strong feeling about what I’m hearing and what I’m seeing and what I’m learning,” Waters said in an interview with The Washington Post.
“This involvement with so many of the people in his Cabinet with the Kremlin, with Putin . . . worries me and it bothers me,” she said.
It bothers us too! Unfortunately it seems we have yet to reach our breaking point, both publicly or within the branches of government. Trump’s camp a;sp continues to be unfazed by Waters determination:
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House principal deputy press secretary, said of Waters: “Her calls for impeachment are baseless and ridiculous.”
Be careful what you say about Rep. Waters though. We all see how Bill O’Reilly ended up riiiiight?

As if Porsha isn’t catching enough hell already after last night’s RHOA reunion installment…she also caught quite a read from longtime shock-jock and fellow member of the “journalism community,” Howard Stern. He accused her of purposely sounding like a shuckin’ & jivin’ slave on the radio and setting Black people back.
This happened late last week and Porsha has yet to respond. We wonder if she’ll bother clapping back…

Jay Z is getting sued for using his own brand’s logo on MLB merchandise.
Iconix Brand Group says they bought the official logo of Roc Nation for $204 million…so Jay legally can’t just slap it on merchandise without their permission.
Jay recently placed the logo for his company on several new merch items for the San Francisco Giants, including Major League Baseball hats and shirts to name a fe. The problem is, Iconix didn’t have any knowledge of the deal or approval of the designs. The company is suing Jay Z personally, in addition to Roc Nation, MLB, New Era, Lids and the San Francisco Giants, for moving forward on the shirts and not letting them know.
The company is known for owning major logos, as they are the owners for logos for Ed Hardy, Marc Ecko, and Ed Hardy as well.
Why would Jay sell his logo to another company that can come bring him lawsuits for using his own stuff? SMH. It will be interesting to see how the trial turns out.

NBC airs the season finale of “Taken” tonight at 10PM and we really wanted to urge you all to watch! If you haven’t tuned in so far, the show is an origin story that finds the protagonist of the “Taken” film Bryan Mills in his days as a young secret agent acquiring essential experience to add to his very lethal special set of skills.
There’s a lot to love about the show. It’s fast paced with plenty of fight scenes, a body count that has continued to climb each episode and a cast that’s diverse without being extra or obvious about it. Standouts are Jennifer Beals — who is head chick in charge Christina Hart, Asha Flynn (Brooklyn Sudano) — Mills’ love interest (who happens to be black) and fellow agent John, played by Gaius Charles.
Since the series’ start earlier this winter Charles has made himself available for weekly recap calls that include a little foreshadowing into the next week’s episode. When BOSSIP joined Charles on a recap call last week, he praised the episode for it’s strong female characters. Another aspect of the show that we love. Specifically the Black Girl Magic that’s evident in Beals, Sudano and Amanda Ware’s performances. Ware was a standout in last week’s episode “Gone,” playing an agent named Marie Salt, who finds herself compromised when her husband is taken. But it’s the threat against Sudano’s character Asha, that most compels us to watch tonight.
“I like seeing Brooklyn Sudano’s character getting some time to shine,” Charles said of the episode. “I really like that relationship becoming so much more relatable, you see even in the struggles, in the fight, this isn’t just a cookie cutter TV show. Their relationship is more than a superficial piece of the episode, it’s really something that’s part of the humanity of their experiences.”
The finale is LITERALLY the moment that we’ve been waiting for all season. A moment that should be so obvious, given the show’s title and the premise for the movie. The woman who is most important to Mills, his love Asha, has been “Taken” by the cartel leader who has been grappling with Mills for revenge since the first episode, a plot twist so obvious we could have kicked ourselves when it happened. But it snuck up on us, much like the show itself.
