Southampton Board Hopeful Defends Her Right To Call Black Folks N-Word
In today’s edition of toxic white entitlement, we present Valerie Smith.
Smith is a candidate for the Southampton Village Board and last year she called the police because there were a “bunch of ni**ers” standing in front of her house drinking “Hennessy”.
That is a direct quote. You can hear the call for yourself below:
Here’s the kicker, when confronted about the recording by 27East, Valerie Smith not only admitted to saying the word, she proudly defended it and used it several times while talking to the reporter! She told the paper that Eddie Murphy became rich and famous for saying “ni**er” and she grew up with the word via 70’s TV shows like “All In The Family”.
B-b-b-but wait, it gets worse!
“Now, all of a sudden, I can’t use it?” Ms. Smith said in a phone interview on Friday. “Sorry—I live in a black neighborhood. I came here and didn’t see color.”
Ms. Smith said she purchased the home in the largely African-American Hillcrest neighborhood nearly six years ago. She said she converted a “rodent-infested dump” into an oasis. “I came into this neighborhood colorblind,” she said. “… When you are a pioneer, like I am, it’s not easy. I’m the only white person who owns and lives on this street.”
So this ho “doesn’t see color”, but she knows to call Black people “ni**er”. Right.
Let’s all come together, in unison, to celebrate “pioneer” Valerie Smith by giving her a rousing “shut yo’ b!tc#a$$ up!”
