Judge Approves Kandi Burruss’ Defamation Suit Against Johnnie Winston
Kandi Burruss is NOT playing with Johnnie Winston, the ‘below minimum wage” worker who broke the non -disclosure agreement he signed when he spoke about her on RHOA. The Jasmine Brand reports that a judge just sided with Kandi when it comes to her defamation countersuit again him. The judge says Kandi presented enough evidence to prove that Winston defamed her character with his ‘$2.30’ story that featured Phaedra.
[The judge] points out that Kandi has asserted a reasonable basis for claiming Winston breached their Non-Disclosure Agreement when he made statements on RHOA. The judge notes that at this point in the case, he believes Kandi has proven enough to bring her case over alleged reputation damage done by her ex-employee. The case will continue on with the reality star now allowed to go after Winston for damages.
Johnnie also stated on TV that Kandi’s restaurant that features her mom and aunts as the brand faces, was his idea. Kandi looks to prove he’s a liar about that too. Johnnie better make sure he doesn’t present a head-azz case and come to court with some facts– because he might leave broker than he when he was cashing those ‘$2’ checks.
