Racial Discrimination Lawsuit Against Fox News Grows

It looks like the fallout at Fox News will continue to grow despite the firings of former comptroller Judy Slater and Bill O’Reilly.

New York Magazine reports that another seven employees are expected to join the racial discrimination suit against the network that was filed in late March. A source for the Daily Intelligencer says the plaintiffs’ lawyers plan to allege that Tammy Efinger, the director of accounting at Fox did nothing about Slater’s behavior, which included using racial insults toward employees.

In a letter to the network’s lawyers obtained by New York, the attorneys state:

“Not once did Ms. Efinger step in or attempt to interfere with Ms. Slater’s outrageous conduct.” The letter adds, instead, “Ms. Efinger chose to laugh or giggle following Ms. Slater’s vitriol.

It gets worse though…

According to the plaintiffs’ attorneys, Slater demanded that black employees hold “arm wrestling matches’” with white female employees in her office, just down the hall from Ailes’s office on the 2nd floor of Fox headquarters. “Forcing a black woman employee to ‘fight’ for the amusement and pleasure of her white superiors is horrifying. This highly offensive and humiliating act is reminiscent of Jim Crow era battle royals,” the letter says, referring to the practice of paying black men to fight blindfolded at carnivals for white spectators’ entertainment. The lawyers argue that Efinger bragged about wanting to “fight” a black employee.

Jeanne Christensen, a lawyer for the employees, commented,

“There will be more complaints forthcoming in the next few days.”

YIKES… This is bad. Really really bad. All we know is the employees suing BETTER see a bigger payout than O’Reilly’s severance package.

Shea Moisture Blasted For "Hair Hate" Video Featuring White Women

A popular natural hair care brand is getting the BUSINESS on social media for an "inclusive" ad that seemingly excluded black women. Shea Moisture which has been used by naturalistas for years is getting blasted for their #EverybodyGetsLove campaign featuring women dishing on their previous issues with their hair. The ad, however, features only one woman of a color, alongside a redhead and a blonde woman who both whine about their issues with their tresses.

"It was lots of days staring in the mirror feeling like 'I don't know what to do with it,'" said one. "I just didn't feel like I was supposed to be a redhead," added another.

Michigan Passes Bill To Stop Cops From Smashing Sex Workers

Stepping, knee-deep in sex worker vagina was a not-so-uncommon practice for undercover police in Michigan. That’s until it was banned this week, according to The Independent. A bill was passed that barred officers from using “sex” as a tactic when busting prostitutes. The bill makes it possible for these law enforcement officers to be prosecuted “if the officer engaged in sexual penetration while in the course of his or her duties.”

The last state to end a similar exemption was Hawaii in 2014.

The bill was unanimously approved, and was sponsored by Republican State Senator Judy Emmons. who told the Detroit Free Press that Michigan has “the dubious distinction of being the last state in the nation to have this law in our books.” In many state, prostitutes still do not actually have to engage in a sex act to be arrested for solicitation.

What the heck took them so long to pass this bill?? Michigan PD is wild for that!

Serena Williams Responds To Ilie Nastase’s Comments

Serena Williams is classily clapping back at the remarks of a Romanian tennis legend that were deemed racist.

Ilie Nastase, a former world number player, is currently under investigation after he made comments about Serena and her fiance Alexis Ohanian’s unborn child.

According to the BBC Nataste was heard questioning whether the child would “chocolate with milk” and he’s sticking by his comments.

“I want to know what word I used is racist?” he asked The Associated Press by phone on Monday from Budapest, Hungary.

An investigation into him has since been launched by the International Tennis Association and Serena fully supports it.

“It disappoints me to know we live in a society where people like Ilie Nastase can make such racist comments,” said Serena in a statement posted to Instagram.

“I have said it once and I’ll say it again, this world has come so far but yet we have so much further to go,” Williams added. “Yes, we have broken down so many barriers – however there are a plethora more to go.

Ohio Teen Finds Dead Body While Cutting The Grass

Cutting the grass sucks. Only thing that could make it worse is finding a dead body while do so.

Sadly, that is what happened to a 14-year-old girl in Ohio as she was manicuring her grandfather’s property and stumbled across a dead man’s body according to a Fox8 report.

Police believe that the man overdosed on an unspecified drug and had been laying there in the high grass unseen by neighbors.

The man, 25-year-old Cody Robert Couch, was one of two people who died of overdose in city of Dayton this weekend.

Over the weekend, reality personality and RnB singer Dave Dees celebrated the release of his new single “Jokes On YOU” in Atlanta.  The “Dating Naked” star released a sexy tune with a touch of 90s RnB flavor.  We were able to chat with Dave and a closer look into where he comes from and what’s next.  Check out “Jokes On YOU” below, and more info on the young Ohio vocalist and let us know what you think!

 

BOSSIP: Where are you from?

Dave Dees: I’m from Dayton, Ohio but played basketball at both Liberty University and Louisiana Lafayette. Now I live in Atlanta, so I’ve been all over the country.

BOSSIP: How long have you been singing?

D: I’ve been singing since I was a child. Music helped me cultivate my imagination.

B: Why now, for your project?

D: Now because it’s ready, I’m ready. It was a great learning experience for me.

B: What was it like starring on “Dating Naked?”

D: It was one of the most awkward experiences of my life, initially, then I tried to make the very best out of it.

B: What do most people who saw you on the show say?

D: Most people congratulate me or ask “what was it like being naked? etc etc”. A lot of times, people will look at me with the “I recognize you” face and I give them the “I don’t know what you’re talking about face”, then I try to get out of there before they realize where they know me from and ask “What was it like being naked on tv?”

B: “Dating Naked” has since been canceled, are you surprised?

D: I’m not surprised it was canceled. I think in today’s society EVERYTHING is a fad and gets old quickly. There was an initial “shock factor” to Dating Naked that I think is gone now, and people are looking for whatever the next fad is.

B: Who would you collaborate with?

D: I love to write. Lyrics and melodies come pretty natural to me, and to have the opportunity to write for some of today’s artists would be a dream come true for me! I wrote, arranged, and sang the entire project I’m about to release, and it’s been A LOT of work, but I’m proud of what I’m about to give the people!

Jennifer Wiliams Returns To “Basketball Wives”

Jennifer Williams is getting a full-time gig back on her old show and her ex-bestie might be pissed. The former “Basketball Wives” star is reportedly coming back FULL time to the VH1 program and she’s already started filming.

According to theJasmineBRAND, producers want to create a storyline about Jennifer and Evelyn’s beef and eventually have Jennifer confront Evelyn.

As previously reported Jennifer believes that Evelyn blocked her initial return to the show because they’re no longer besties. Jenn told interview with Bijou Star of Cleveland’s Z 107.9 that she was in talks with producers to come back, but those talks eventually lapsed.

Project #ShareConservation Partners Original Penguin with the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) to Raise Funding and Awareness for Penguins and All Wildlife

Today, in honor of World Penguin Day, Original Penguin launches the second iteration of its Project #ShareConservation program with a video starring actor and comedian Lamorne Morris. Each time the video is liked or shared on Facebook, Original Penguin will donate $1 to the global conservation organization International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) to help African penguins and other animals worldwide.

The Project #ShareConservation video, voiced by Lamorne Morris, follows the story of a penguin on a quest to meet and woo the penguin of his dreams. The video addresses the natural and human threats that penguins face, which have contributed to the rapid decline in the numbers of African penguins and other coastal birds. Original Penguin and IFAW are working in collaboration with the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) to combat these threats. The goal is to raise awareness and funding to help protect African penguins and all wildlife.

Stephen Belafonte Gets Visitation Of Daughter With Mel B

In addition to racks and racks of spousal support, Stephen Belafonte petitioned the judge in his divorce proceedings from “Scary Spice” Mel B to get joint custody of not only his own daughter with Mel B, but her daughter with Eddie Murphy as well.

As you know, Stephen and Mel started dating while she was 5 months pregnant with Eddie Murphy’s daughter Angel, and the two got married just a month after she was born. As such, and with Eddie’s own spotty involvement in his daughter’s life, Stephen has been the only father she’s ever truly known.

However, he’s also on the hook for years of physical and emotional abuse and intimidation of Mel B, so that complicates things — especially since there’s a standing restraining order to keep him away from her and all her daughters.

Well, a judge granted Stephen visitation under VERY strict supervision — but only for his own daughter, 5-year-old Madison. As far as 10-year-old Angel Murphy Brown…the judge says he needs to keep his distance.

Welp! It seemed like a stretch request anyway with all the abuse and sex extortion allegations floating around…
